- To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David,
- when the prophet Nathan came to him, after David had entered into Bathsheba.
- Have mercy on me, O God, according to the greatness of Thy mercy, and according to the multitude of Thy compassions blot out my transgressions.
- Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin,
- For I acknowledge my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me.
- Against You, You only, have I sinned and done this evil in Your sight; so that You are justified when You speak, and clear when You judge.
Psalm 51 contains the prayer of King David of Israel for a return to the Divine Light after the evil deed he committed, which is described in detail in Chapter 12 of the Second Book of Kings. For this reason, the first words of this psalm are "Have mercy on me, O God." A request for mercy is a request for the return of Mercy, so let's consider what God's Mercy is and why we might lose the sense of its presence.
The Mercy of God is the spiritual Energy of His Holy Unconditional Love, which all intelligent spirits need as the Source of Eternal Happiness and the Highest meaning of their existence. Our Heavenly Father continuously radiates this Energy as a luminous stream into the spiritual and material worlds. It is intended for absolutely all of His children, embodied and non-embodied.
This Energy has the highest vibrations in the Universe and for this reason it can be correctly and harmoniously assimilated only by those intelligent spirits who correspond to It in the frequency of vibrations of their spiritual hearts. Any decrease in spiritual vibrations caused by a negative thought, feeling or action causes more or less significant disturbances in the acceptance and assimilation of the Energy of Divine Grace or makes adaptation to It completely impossible.
The intelligent spirit subjectively feels a decrease in the spiritual Light of Harmony, Faith, Happiness and Love, which brings him suffering from the discrepancy between his vibrations and the Source of Eternal Spiritual Energy and Infinite Unconditional Love.
Thus we see that the request to God for mercy was a pure and open expression of David's intention to unite with the Pure Beginningless Light of God.
David's second request was to erase his iniquities. And this request is quite logical, because iniquities, as violations of the Law of Divine Love, made it impossible for his spirit to merge with the Energy of Divine Love.
David asked God to erase his iniquities with the help of His generosity. What is this? This is the word the ancient translators of the Book of Psalms translated from Hebrew for "mercy."
God's Mercy is His spiritual healing Energy, with the help of which He restores the spiritual channels of communication between Himself and us and cleanses our spiritual hearts from everything incompatible with His Love.
David's third request to God was to repeatedly wash him from lawlessness and cleanse him from sin. This was necessary for the complete elimination of all spiritual, energetic and physical consequences of violating Divine laws.
This action for the spirit is analogous to washing the body in water, which is an elemental force that embodies in the material world the energy of Divine Purity and Holiness.
If you do not wash your physical body regularly, it will become ill due to its own toxins and pathogenic microbes, which are abundant in it and nearby. All people know this and teach their children this. But the purity of the soul is no less important for a person than the purity of the body. Spiritual cleansing is possible for a person through a conscious change in personal attitudes that lead to negative behavior and the dissolution of negative energy blocks.
All earthly religions have accumulated enough means for spiritual purification of their adherents who are in contact with the corresponding religious egregor. But in addition to religious means of spiritual purification, there is another effective way to do this for everyone who wants it.
This is a conscious contact with your Higher Self, which does not contradict any bright religious idea and which allows you to consciously change negative mental attitudes to positive ones, as well as dissolve negative energy blocks that interfere with the spiritual, social and physical development of a person.
Cleansing from sin is a change in the nature of the spiritual heart and an increase in the vibrations of all human energy structures. In this case, a negative action loses all its imaginary charm for a person and appears before his eyes in its true form, which encourages him to refuse to repeat it. Often it becomes unpleasant even to think about a previously beloved sin, and this is a natural reaction of a pure soul to negativity that can lower the vibrations of the spirit and remove it from the Life-giving Light of God.
Naturally, in order to radically change one's inner nature, a person needs to realize how exactly his action, thought or feeling contradicts Unconditional Divine Love. We cannot correct our mistakes until we know what they are.
And this is exactly what King David speaks about in the fifth and sixth verses of the fiftieth psalm.
God's judgment for a person is not a condemnation of his personality and not a deprivation of Divine Love. This is how figuratively the sudden events in a person's life are named here, prompting him to realize the consequences of his actions and choose a brighter and wiser line of behavior. All people need to remember that although external events in this case are often quite negative in a person's perception, they must be perceived as a manifestation of unconditional Divine Love.
After all, in this way our Heavenly Father protects embodied spirits from a strong decrease in vibrations, and therefore from subsequent spiritual suffering due to staying on the lower levels of the world of non-embodied spirits.
God's judgment is pure and impartial, because His goal is not to humiliate and punish His child, but to call him to return to the path of Love and Light.
The sentence of God is not the sentence of an earthly judge, most often personally unfamiliar with the one to whom he makes it, but an accurate analysis of the state of the entire spiritual heart of a person and all the structures and parts of his essence with specific recommendations for the return of the spirit, which has lowered its vibrations, to the Light of His Love. The embodied part of the spirit, called the soul or personality of a person, can always receive these recommendations from its higher self, as from its highest Divine part, residing in the spiritual world.

7 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me.
8 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts; and in the hidden parts You have made me know wisdom.
9 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
“7 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me”:
The expression “ conceived in iniquity ” means that the parents of King David, at the moment of the conception of his body, were not prepared according to spiritual laws for this great Mystery of the birth of a new life.
The spiritual laws necessary for the harmonious conception of a child on Earth are simple: to be clean from negative emotions, thoughts and desires, in a sober consciousness and to connect with the body of a loved one in love, understanding and acceptance of each other in the Light of Divine Creative Wisdom.
If conception occurs without fulfilling these spiritual laws, then the spirit coming to incarnation senses the negativity of the parents and falls into fear, irritation and other destructive emotions, causing stress from contact with a new world that does not love it and does not accept it. This gives rise to difficulties in adaptation to the physical body and to the energy structures of both parents.
The words " my mother gave birth to me in sin " indicate that the birth of King David also took place in the negative emotions of his mother, and possibly of the people around him. It is necessary to remember that the Aura of a newborn child is still relatively pure, very tender and therefore susceptible to slight damage by negative energy directed at it. The flow of negative energy can create holes in the baby's etheric body, which in the absence of healing energy work can later lead to various physical and mental illnesses and developmental defects.
“8 Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, and in the hidden parts You have made me know wisdom”:
The word " you " is not in the Hebrew original of the eighth verse of this psalm. Here David is speaking about himself. He says that the one who loves the truth will see in his heart the hidden wisdom, which consists in the feeling of the purity of his spiritual heart, which is spoken of in the next, ninth verse.
“9 Purge me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.”
It is not at all accidental that hyssop is mentioned here: the symbol of this healing plant, which has since ancient times cleansed human bodies from many pathogenic microbes, fungi and other parasites, is used here as a symbol of the Divine power of Love, which cleanses and heals from sin. All the fields of the Aura of a person cleansed by Divine Grace really become much whiter than snow.
10 Make me hear joy and gladness, that the bones which You have broken may rejoice.
11 Turn away Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities.
12 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
“10 Make me hear joy and gladness, that the bones which You have broken may rejoice.”
In the tenth verse of the original Psalm, written by David in Hebrew, the word " you " is missing. David did not think of blaming God for his troubles, because he knew how to take full responsibility for the state of his body. Here we are talking about David hearing from God the good news of his healing and restoration of his former status as an Angel, which he lost by committing the sin of killing his friend and warrior who fought for him and his country, for the sake of uniting with a beautiful woman who, according to God's law, was not his wife.
Because of this terrible sin, David experienced a constant sense of guilt that ate away at his physical flesh, like rust that eats away at iron. That is why he mentions his bones here, which were broken by his own negativity, but not by God. After cleansing his spiritual heart, David felt his bones come alive and rejoice with him. This is a real feeling, because every cell of the human body is filled with life and has its own instinctive intelligence, and therefore is capable of feeling joy, love, trust, and any other feelings and emotions experienced by a person, including negative ones.
“11 Turn away Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities”:
In the eleventh verse of the original of this psalm there is no phrase " your face ". Here David asks God to remove the sin he committed from his own eyes and erase it from his memory. This request is not at all accidental, it shows David's unwillingness to return in thought to the mental experience that was traumatic for him. It can be very painful to realize one's imperfection before the perfect God, so such a request is quite understandable and appropriate.
“12 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me”:
In this verse, David asks to cleanse his spiritual heart and renew it, restoring in his spirit the energies of fortitude, confidence and purpose. This request is not at all unnecessary, considering that any sin committed by a person contributes to the loss of faith in himself, as an integral part of God and His beloved son. And if faith in himself, as in the Light, is absent, then it is easy for dark, destructive energies to capture a person’s heart again, because where there is no light, darkness reigns.
13 Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me.
14 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and strengthen me with Your Spirit of grace.
15 I will teach transgressors Your ways, and the wicked will turn to You.
16 Deliver me from bloodshed, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue will praise your righteousness.
“13 Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me”:
Here David asks God to allow him the ability to feel His presence despite the low vibrations. This request was important to him because he had experienced how dark and scary it is to be unable to perceive the Divine light. Every intelligent spirit has this ability, but it can be lost due to long-term exposure to low vibrations.
Our All-Loving Heavenly Father does not reduce the flow of Light to any of His children. But each spirit, choosing a path that contradicts the ideas of Divine Love, itself reduces its ability to perceive Divine Light as bliss and love. King David in this psalm asked God to leave him the ability to perceive His Energies without distortion, despite everything, even if the high vibrations of divine love will cause him spiritual suffering if he again lowers his vibrations.
“14 Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and strengthen me with Your sovereign Spirit”:
In verse fourteen David asks God to restore him to the state of security and well-being that brought him joy and meaning in life, and also asks that a disembodied spirit from the angelic level of the spiritual world be sent to him for comfort and support. This expression is translated into Russian as: " With the Spirit of rule strengthen me ."
“15 I will teach transgressors Your ways, and the wicked will turn to You”:
At this point in his prayer, David promises God to teach the criminals in his kingdom to seek the way to return to Him. This is a very important promise, which shows the true rebirth of David's spiritual heart in the Light of divine love. After all, a person who has truly experienced the bliss of consciously being in the energies of God wants to show people who have not experienced this Light the way to it. This desire is as natural as the desire of a person who has a lot of food to share with the hungry.
“16 Deliver me from bloodshed, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue will praise your righteousness”:
At this point David backs up his words with a promise to proclaim to the world the good deeds of God after removing the energetic consequences of killing a person. The fact is that when one sentient being consciously kills another sentient being, seeking to destroy it because of hatred, jealousy, revenge or other destructive feelings, the etheric force of the killed sentient being turns into an energetic negatively charged ball, which is absorbed into the etheric field of the killer and damages the etheric matrices of the cells of the organs of the physical body, right down to the genetic level.
This damage is then passed on to the children of the killer, through his DNA, which causes various pathologies of the physical body in the spirits incarnating through him, and a tendency of the neural structures of the brain to more quickly and easily remember the negative behavior of the spirit. It is from this energetic damage that David asked God to deliver himself in the sixteenth verse of this psalm.
17 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare thy praise:
18 For thou desirest not sacrifice, or else I would give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering.
19 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise.
20 Do good to Zion in thy good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem.
21 Then shall thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then shall they offer bullocks upon thy altar.
“17 O Lord, open my mouth, and my lips shall declare thy praise”:
The address " Adonai ", which is translated here into Russian as " Lord ", in Hebrew means " Almighty, Master ". This is how David called God when he asked Him to help open the fifth energy center, which was responsible for speech, so that in the true Light of Love he could tell people about the glory and power of God in hymns of praise, like the fiftieth psalm, which we are now examining.
“18 For you do not desire sacrifice, or I would give it; you do not delight in burnt offering. 19 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.”
David feels in his spiritual heart that our Heavenly Father does not need a sacrifice in the form of animal flesh burned in the fire. This fact testifies to the fact that David, like many other of his contemporaries who were walking the path of enlightenment, understood perfectly well that animal sacrifices established by the law given by God Yahweh to Moses on Mount Sinai and subsequently recorded in the Torah, were intended not for the Heavenly Father, but for the spirits of nature, who fed on the energy released from the flesh of animals burned in the fire.
As a thank you for the energy they received, the spirits of nature helped people survive in the wild, healed their wounds and illnesses, and protected them from other hostile spirits of nature. Of course, all this was very important, but only the Heavenly Father could restore peace in the soul and love in the heart of man. The spirits of nature, no matter how powerful they were, did not possess even a billionth of the Divine energies and the ability to realize them.
Emphasizing this important thought, David noted that only a spirit that has recognized His power can be a sacrifice for the Heavenly Father, even through the experience of being in low vibrations that damage the spirit and body. In this case, negative energies are transformed into positive ones, and the experience of a person who has known darkness gains benefit for him in comprehending the Light and assessing the degree of his happiness in the flow of high and pure energies of the Creator of the worlds. Also, David in the nineteenth verse of this psalm emphasized an important thought: a person who comes to God in any state will never be rejected by Him.
“20 Do good to Zion in your good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem.”
Here David switches to the symbolic language so well known to his contemporaries. Without such literary devices, poetry and song writing would have been unthinkable in the eastern countries, to which Israel undoubtedly belongs.
Under the symbol of Zion, the mountain on which Jerusalem stood, David understood the Divine world or the Kingdom of Heaven, and under Jerusalem the material world. Thus, in the twentieth verse of the fiftieth psalm, a request to God to create new worlds in the material universe is conveyed in symbolic form, taking the material for their creation from the energies of the Kingdom of Heaven. These energies in this text are called "favor", and new worlds in the Universe, as new facets of reality, are encrypted under the image of " the walls of Jerusalem ".
“21 Then you will be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then they will offer bullocks on your altar”:
The words " then " and " will " were not in this verse. Here it is said that the sacrifice of selfless faith and love is pleasing to God, which is emphasized by the image of the bulls placed on the altar. The altar here is a symbol of sacrifice to God, and the bulls, as images of the gods of ancient peoples responsible for wealth and fertility, symbolize material pleasures and acquisitions. To sacrifice them to God does not mean to renounce them.
This symbol indicates a person's willingness to selflessly help other people with the material resources that he has thanks to the Will of God. Remember that it was our Heavenly Father who gave you the opportunity and strength to earn material resources and He sent you into a world where there are many opportunities for both pleasure and suffering.
Gratitude to God for this unique experience should be shown not only in your prayers, but also in real, kind and merciful deeds for all the spirits incarnate next to you, no matter what nation they belong to and what religious views they adhere to.
